Since being appointed Executive Chef at Restaurant Lurleen’s in 2004, Andrew has managed a team of 15 chefs and apprentices and won ‘Best Restaurant in a Winery’ at the prestigious 2004 Australian Restaurant and Catering National Awards of Excellence. Under his guidance, Lurleen’s also went on to win the ‘Modern Australian’ category at the 2010 Lifestyle FOOD Channel’s ‘I Love FOOD Awards’.

In addition to a busy career as an Executive Chef, Andrew works as a commercial fisher in the Queensland line fishery.

“Andrew is a well-known chef and advocate of modern Australian cooking sourcing fresh local produce. He has been a great supporter of industry throughout his career and will be a great ambassador for the Queensland commercial seafood industry. I have no doubt that Andrew will draw seafood lovers to Queensland Catch” said Keith Harris, Queensland Seafood Industry Association Senior Vice President.
