QUEENSLAND SEAFOOD INDUSTRY ASSOCIATION
The QSIA is the peak body representing the Queensland Seafood Industry. Our members include professional fishers, seafood processors, marketers and retailers and other businesses associated with the seafood industry. Our representation to members and the community at large is to promote the consumption of delicious local Queensland Seafood.
The goal of Seafood Services Australia (SSA) is to enhance the profitability, international competitiveness, sustainability and resilience of the Australian seafood industry.
SSA was established in 2001 by the Fisheries Research and Development Corporation and the Australian seafood industry.
QUEENSLAND STATE DEPARTMENT OF PRIMARY INDUSTRY AND FISHERIES
The Department protects and conserves fisheries resources while maintaining profitable commercial and enjoyable recreational fishing sectors. FISH NAMES
The Australian Fish Names Committee is established under Seafood Services Australia, an accredited Standards Development Organisation. The committee assigns of standard fish names in accordance with transparent and rigorous procedures. Search online Standard Fish Names Database includes all species listed in the Standard.
